NameJet Responds to Criticism

After domain blog The Domains criticized NameJet for letting buyers walk out of high-price domain auctions, NameJet has responded:

We’ve been taking a harder stance against non-paying customers excluding those with non-payment issues from participating in new auctions and from winning auctions where they were already participants. We are in the process of rolling out a new non-payment policy to further address these issues, especially recurring non-payment.

Regardless of what steps NameJet is taking to deter auction winners from walking out, the fact still remains that auctions are legally binding and an auction site that wants to be taken seriously shouldn’t take such a matter so lightly. It’s good the company is pledging to improve, but shouldn’t these reforms have been introduced from the get-go?
