Nearly a year after the FTC shut down web host Triple Fiber Network for hosting child pornography and malware, US District Judge Ronald M. Whyte has ruled that the rogue host must surrender $1 million of its to the government.
The company, which also went under the name Pricewert, argued in 2009 that the FTC shut-down was unfair and claimed it was always willing to work with authorities. The court case simply reinforced what everyone already thought– Triple Fiber is full of it. In his ruling, Whyte noted that the host likely made at least $15,000 a month.
