German world tennis champion Steffi Graf found herself fighting in a different sort of court recently– the National Arbitration Forum. SGF License, LLC, a company that has exclusive rights to Graf’s name, submitted a complaint that the domain steffigraf.info was confusingly similar to the athlete’s name and used in bad faith.
The domain registrant did not respond to the complaint (this is becoming more and more common) and the name was transferred to SGF License. It’s hard to lose a case when the other party doesn’t put up a fight.
