A number of domain auctions took place this week. While no records were set, two names- horseracing.co.uk and onlinecasino.co.uk- sold for £100,000. Gambling-related names are always big hits on the auction block.
Other sales include:
GetARoom.com- £18,442 ($30,000 USD)
black-jack.com- £15,369 ($25,000 USD)
headboards.co.uk- £5,865 ($9,541 USD)
tax.eu- £7,702 ($12,530 USD)
finch.com- £7,377 ($12,000 USD)
maj.com- 6,147 ($9,999 USD)
lulz.com- £3,381 ($5,500 USD)
a.bb- £1,537 ($2,500 USD)
As you can see, quite a few ccTLDs sold. The most unique name I saw was a.bb. Most registrars prohibit registrations under three or four characters, but apparently Barbados either doesn’t or the same was registered before such a rule became active.
