Cloud computing theme announced for HostingCon 2010

HostingCon has announced its theme for the upcoming 2010 conference: Piloting Into the Cloud – Setting a Course for the Future. Kevin Gold, Chariman of HostingCon 2010, declared:

Without a doubt, the Cloud is the 800-pound gorilla applying market pressure and likewise opening new opportunities within the industry. Whether a company decides to go up, around, through or beneath it, one way or another, companies must strategically confront the Cloud and set a plan in motion for how to compete.

If anything, the theme is more proof that the cloud is taking control. Web hosts that are not already investing in the new technology risk being left behind.

The conference will be held in Austin, Texas, on July 19- 21. Some 1500 hosting professionals from 30 countries are expected to attend.
