Have a seat and listen to this. Domain sofas.com has sold for a whopping $231,500 USD. In addition, CamRoulette.com garnered $151,000. The seller got a great deal, having bought it for only $1,400 two months ago.
As far as I’m concerned, there’s a bubble in the domain market if a speculator can buy a domain and sell it for a 1,078% profit two months later. While industry growth is good, I think buyers are overestimating the value of domains. Don’t get me wrong– a short, memorable domain is one of the best investments one can make, but it seems like people are buying as if every domain at auction is the next Sex.com.
