Have some photos you want to show off? While nearly all paid hosts offer some form of photo hosting, there are a number of free photo hosting solutions out there. These sites are a great way to organize and share photos with friends, coworkers, and even the whole world if you want to.
By far the most popular free photo host is Flickr. Owned by Yahoo, the service is fast, easy-to-use, and provides a decent amount of space. Another good choice is Zooomr. I’ve noticed it’s a bit slower than Flickr, but offers a really unique user interface. For fast sharing on forums, I like to use ImageShack or imgur.
Keep in mind that free photo hosting isn’t for everyone. If you are involved in commercial photography or want your own domain name, you will need to use a paid host. There are numerous gallery and other scripts out there that can be used on a shared host to accomplish this.
